• Squarepusher cancels its entire tour due to undisclosed illness. Status of Plaid on said tour is unknown -- at least to me. Still, it looks like Otto von Schirach, Secret Frequency Crew, and Salim Rafiq are going on with the show. Same date, same place, 9 p.m., $8 before 10 p.m., $10 thereafter. Sponsored by WVUM.

• More drop-dead wet-pants big-name indie national tours headed our way. The Microphones, The Mercury Program, Pedro the Lion (in Orlando). You already knew about The Faint and Rainer Maria, and could've probably predicted Nil Lara. [Speaking of Nil, this morning I discovered a jagged, mean-spirited scratch right through "Vida más simple" on my CD. It was a sad sad morning.] Details:
